We are pleased to welcome you to our site. Lincoln u3a was started in March 1992 and currently has over 250 members. There are over 20 interest groups available to the membership, who are encouraged to participate as much as possible.
On the first Tuesday of every month there is a general meeting where members meet to listen to a talk given by an invited speaker. Some social time is available to enjoy a chat with other members and also to enjoy light refreshments which are served by volunteer members.
The ethos of the u3a organisation is self help. Members are expected to help with the smooth running of our u3a by offering help in one form or another. This could be, for example, offering to host the occasional meeting in their home, starting a new interest group, helping to serve refreshments at a general meeting or serving on the committee.
